SnoutSync ("we", "us", "our") is a verified pet network operated from Bangalore, India. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your personal information when you visit snoutsync.in, join our waitlist, or use the SnoutSync app and related services (collectively, the "Services").
Information you give us: name, email address, WhatsApp number, city, pet type, role (pet parent, vet, groomer, store, trainer, breeder), and any referral code you submit. Information we collect automatically: device, browser, IP address, approximate location, pages viewed, referrer URL, and basic analytics events (via Google Analytics 4). Information from partners: if you sign up via a referral link, we record who referred you so we can credit them.
To operate the waitlist and send launch updates by email and WhatsApp; to verify pet businesses; to personalize the SnoutSync experience for your city and pet type; to detect fraud, abuse and spam; to comply with legal obligations under Indian law (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023).
By providing your WhatsApp number you consent to receive a welcome message and occasional launch updates from SnoutSync via Meta's WhatsApp Business API. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. Email updates are sent via Resend; every email includes an unsubscribe link.
We use first-party cookies for essential functionality (session, referral attribution) and Google Analytics 4 for aggregated, anonymized usage analytics. We do not sell your data to advertisers. See our Cookie Policy for details.
We share data only with: (a) infrastructure providers strictly necessary to deliver the Services — Supabase (database & auth), Resend (email), Meta WhatsApp Business (messaging), Cloudflare (hosting & CDN), Google Analytics (analytics); (b) law enforcement when legally compelled. We never sell personal data.
Waitlist data is retained until you ask us to delete it or until 24 months after our public launch, whichever comes first. Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Account data (post-launch) is retained for the life of your account plus 90 days.
Under the DPDP Act 2023 and applicable Indian law, you have the right to access, correct, update or delete your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@snoutsync.com.
SnoutSync is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact privacy@snoutsync.com and we will delete it.
We use industry-standard safeguards — TLS in transit, encryption at rest, Row-Level Security on our database, and least-privilege access for our team. No online service is 100% secure; please use a strong unique password when accounts launch.
We may update this policy as the Services evolve. Material changes will be announced via email or WhatsApp. The "Last updated" date below always reflects the current version.
